Future Ads , one of the southland’s fastest growing and most innovative interactive firms, has announced that Jared Pobre, Founder and CEO, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 Award in the Technology category in Orange County/Desert Cities. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Pobre was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Hyatt Regency Irvine on June 11.
“I am proud and honored to receive this prestigious award which is a tribute to the hard work and commitment to excellence of the entire Future Ads team,” said Pobre. “This has been a milestone year for Future Ads. We have experienced unprecedented growth in our businesses and revenue; our flagship site, Gamevance.com, was named the sixth fastest growing web property overall; we successfully launched our casual game hub PlaySushi.com, and Resultlinks, our in-text advertising product, was named Innovative Internet Product of the Year*. To be recognized by Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in this challenging economic climate is humbling and an inspiration to work even harder and reach even higher.”
Irvine-based Future Ads, which is one of the online industry’s most rapidly growing interactive marketing firms, experienced nearly 300% revenue growth in 2008 from the low millions in 2007. The company enables advertisers to target the fast growing, highly desirable, and responsive casual gaming audience through www.Gamevance.com and www.PlaySushi.com, while its award-winning Resultlinks offers the world’s only self-serve, dynamic bidding interface for in-text advertising.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards celebrate their 23rd anniversary this year. The program honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptionality in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
“We are proud to recognize the achievements of Jared Pobre,” said Kim Letch, Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director for Orange County/Desert Cities. “Award recipients of the Entrepreneur Of The Year award build leading businesses and contribute significantly to the strength of our region’s economy. Their success helps our area grow stronger.”
As an Orange County/Desert Cities award recipient, Pobre is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 national program. Award recipients in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
