Ogilvy PR bags Savvis PR mandate

ogilvy_prSavvis, Inc.has selected Ogilvy PR, a global, multi-disciplinary communications leader, as its global PR agency of record, expanding a U.S. market relationship in place since October 2007. Ogilvy PR will provide Savvis services centered on strategic consulting, thought leadership and brand enhancement programs, and traditional media and social media relations. Additionally, Ogilvy PR will assist the company’s international teams with developing brand awareness strategies.

Savvis has grown from a niche financial network services provider into a global provider of hosting and IT infrastructure services and is gaining recognition as an emerging leader in cloud computing. As Savvis starts to gain national and global visibility, the company is looking to accelerate its marketing and awareness programs.

“As Savvis continues to grow and expand globally, we felt Savvis’ public relations efforts would be best served through a single global agency,” said Carter Cromley, Savvis’ director of public relations. “Having a single agency allows for consistency of Savvis’ key messages, content sharing among the teams and efficient teamwork driving our brand recognition into the marketplace. Led by Ogilvy PR’s Technology Practice, the global client relationship will be serviced from Ogilvy PR’s San Francisco, Denver, Washington, D.C., Singapore, Tokyo and London offices.
