Tara Reid has seen it all – fame, fortune, hit movies, a crazy social life, red-carpet mishaps, public embarrassment, addiction and rehab – but she says, “I wouldn’t change anything that’s brought me here…I’m in a good place in my life.” Indeed she is. The actress is straight and sober, recently finished filming two movies, and posed for Playboy’s January/February double issue. She appears on the cover and in a 6-page nude pictorial inside the magazine, which was shot by famed celebrity photographer Sheryl Nields .
In addition to posing, Tara sat down with Playboy to discuss her troubled past and her new outlook on life:
On growing up in the public eye: “I’ve grown up a lot, and it’s time for people to see who I am. I lived a lot of years in the public eye. But if you look at me now, that’s not who I am anymore…I’m not Girls Gone Wild anymore.”
On the new Tara: “This is the first time in my life I can say I’m really happy. I’m relaxed. I’m a young woman with confidence…At the end of the day I go to sleep knowing who I am…I’m happy with my life now, and I’d like to keep it this way.”
On being mature enough to pose for Playboy: “I’ve always seemed younger than I am. I was doing teen movies when I was in my 20s. But at 34 I think I’m the perfect age to do this.”
On her Playboy photo shoot: “I liked what little clothes we did have.”
