Real Simple Celebrates 10th Anniversary

In celebration of Real Simple’s 10th anniversary this April, the brand will launch “The Gift of Time,” a month-long campaign that includes time-saving content throughout their April issue, a time-themed channel on realsimple.com, and experiential events in Chicago and New York City.

Hosted by Managing Editor Kristin van Ogtrop, the events, “15 Minutes and You’re Done,” feature must-see demonstrations led by top lifestyle personalities with smart, relevant advice to help women navigate their busy lives. With a focus on food, fashion, beauty, health, entertaining, and home, the “15 Minutes and You’re Done” events will be open to the public and take place in Chicago at Union Station on Friday, April 9, and in New York City at Grand Central Terminal on Thursday, April 15.

The “15 Minutes and You’re Done” events will also feature special performances. Trainees from The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago will perform an original piece based on “The Gift of Time.” In addition, The Broadway League, the national trade association, will present live performances at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal featuring the casts of some of the hottest Broadway shows.

“For 10 years, Real Simple has delighted women with fresh ideas and practical, yet fun advice to help make life easier,” says van Ogtrop. “To celebrate our 10th anniversary, Real Simple will offer our consumers the opportunity to join us in Chicago and New York City for an inspiring and dynamic event that brings the brand to life.”

Trump International Hotel and Tower® in Chicago and the newest hotel in the Trump® Hotel Collection, Trump SoHo™ New York, will offer a Real Simple “Time for You” value-added package providing an inspiring getaway experience including spacious accommodations, spa treatments, Real Simple interactive sessions, and much more.

To help Real Simple celebrate, participating retailers at The 900 Shops (900 N. Michigan Ave.) will offer a 10% discount during the week of the events and The Shops at Grand Central will offer a 10% discount during the month of the events. Participating restaurants in both Chicago and New York City will offer guests a special Real Simple menu, $20.10 for lunch and $40.10 for dinner.
