New York : The New York Times Company has announced that Alan J. Blosser has joined UCompareHealthCare.com as director of sales. In this role, Mr. Blosser will be responsible for selling UCompareHealthCare’s Patient Gateway program , which allows doctors to reach patients more effectively through tailored online profiles. He will report to Mark Donnelly, general manager, UCompareHealthCare.

Mr. Blosser joins UCompareHealthCare from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, where, most recently, he had been a portfolio district sales manager since September 2005. He joined AstraZeneca in September 2000 and went on to hold several sales positions of increasing responsibility. From December 1999 to May 2000, he was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Professional Detailing Inc.
Alan J. Blosser began his career as a psychologist/adolescent therapist and program manager at F.M.R.S. Mental Health Council in September 1996. He received a B.S. degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Portland State University and went on to earn an M.A. in clinical psychology from Marshall University .
