New York:Weber Shandwick was named Public Relations Agency of the Year by the American Business Awards (ABA) Stevie Awards at its annual awards event held in New York City this week. In addition, the firm received a Stevie Award for PR Campaign of the Year, Consumer Services, for its work on the Omni Fort Worth Hotel campaign.

The ABA’s Stevie Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. More than 2,700 entries were submitted for The 2010 ABAs and more than 200 executives nationwide participated in judging to determine this year’s finalists and winners.

“We are thrilled for Weber Shandwick to be honored as the Public Relations Agency of the Year by The ABA’s Stevie Awards,” said Harris Diamond, CEO, Weber Shandwick. “The success of the firm, and honors such as this, would not be possible without our talented team of global employees and our clients that trust us to execute creative campaigns on their behalf.”

This latest award continues to build on Weber Shandwick’s industry honors in 2009 and 2010, which include being named Global Agency of the Year, for the second year in a row, by The Holmes Report, the PRWeek Global Agency Report Card gold medalist, Advertising Age’s A-List and Agency of the Decade, CR Magazine’s Top Corporate Responsibility Advisory Firm, Large PR Agency of the Year by Bulldog Reporter, “International Consultancy of the Year” at both the PRWeek Awards and the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) Awards, and “Agency of the Year” at the European Excellence Awards.
