G2, a top-five global marketing services agency, has named Gretchen Ramsey to the new role of Director, Social Media, in G2 USA’s Interactive Marketing Practice. Ramsey will oversee social media strategy for G2’s roster of digital clients. She will work in G2’s Philadelphia and New York offices.
With more than 16 years of reputation management experience, Ramsey most recently served as Founder and Chief Strategist at SIX, a communications strategy consultancy that specializes in consumer brands in the new media space. Previous agency experience includes senior-level positions at Gillespie (a McCann Erickson WorldGroup Company), LevLane and Oxford Communications. Ramsey has managed the reputations of hundreds of organizations, including DuPont, Time Inc., KFC and Prime Retail. A rising voice in social media, Ramsey has provided strategic direction to brands such as Bombardier, Robert Verdi, and MRM Worldwide, among others.

Ramsey began her career at the legendary public relations firm to the fashion world, TED Inc. There, she worked with clients such as Allure, GQ, InStyle, Condé Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, Donna Karan and Kosta Boda. She managed the New York launch of InStyle, inking partnerships with Bloomingdale’s, the Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS and benefit celebrities.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Ramsey served as Director-at-Large of the Philadelphia Chapter of the PRSA Board and is a Founding member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the PRSA Agency Leadership Council. She has been honored by the International Council of Shopping Centers Maxi Awards, New Jersey Ad Club Jersey Awards, and Next Generation of Women Leader Awards, among others. She was a company member in the Richmond Ballet (1988–1990), performing and touring the Balanchine repertoire as a professional ballerina.
