Subway assigns U.S. digital duties to MediaCom

New York: MediaCom has been awarded digital media responsibilities in the U.S. for Subway, the media services agency announced today.

The new digital appointment makes MediaCom Subway’s agency of record for all media planning and buying in the U.S. Publicis Modem was the previous digital agency of record.

“We have decided to consolidate our digital media planning and buying at MediaCom for both integration and efficiency reasons,” said Tony Pace, CMO of Subway. “We have confidence in MediaCom’s management and believe they will help build upon our success in the digital space.”

Harvey Goldhersz, CEO of MediaCom North America added: “It’s a privilege to further extend our relationship with Subway. Integrated messaging across platforms is increasingly important, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Subway to deliver the full range of media solutions.”

MediaCom is part of GroupM, the parent company for WPP’s media services agencies, which also include Maxus, MEC and Mindshare.
