&#8220;Waxman believes Hollywood owes ancient Mayans an apology as they were not predicting anything of the kind depicted in the film,&#8221; said TransMedia&#8217;s founder Tom Madden, a former No. 2 ranked executive at NBC, where he was involved in promoting blockbuster miniseries and films on television.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our publicity will underscore that the date of 2012 was to mark the beginning of a new time-cycle which the Mayans were predicting as an era of heightened awareness and unitary consciousness,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>Madden has assigned the PR firm&#8217;s top book publicist Kim Morgan to set the record straight. Waxman, whose expertise and scholarship is in Ancient Spiritual Wisdom, explains why Mayans believed that the year 2012 marks the process of a transition from one World Age to the next.</p>
<p>Prior to joining TransMedia Group, one of Florida&#8217;s largest independent PR firms, Morgan worked in the publicity departments at Bantam Books, William Morrow, Ballantine and John Wiley and managed the publicity campaigns for bestselling celebrities and authors including Elmore Leonard, Charles Grodin and Richard Chamberlain.</p>
<p>Waxman has appeared on national TV and radio programs as an expert on comparative ancient wisdom, ancient world civilizations and their proper interpretations. His previous books are, The Fundamentals of Esoteric Philosophy, Kabbalah Simply Stated and The Power of A.W.E. Waxman holds a Master&#8217;s degree in Comparative Esoteric Philosophy from Skidmore College in NY and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Human Sciences at Saybrook University.</p>
<p>TransMedia&#8217;s publicity will explain the Mayan Long Count Calendar&#8217;s ending on December 21, 2012 at 11:11 PM, which marks a dramatic shift in human consciousness. <p>Each month, on the first of the month, at the end of the day, Xanthus Communications holds PRforPeople events that feature one of its many individual clients.</p>
<p>During its next PRforPeople meeting slated for Tuesday, September 1st at 4pm Xanthus Communications will present media skills training expert Lorraine Howell. The meeting will be held at the Patricia Cameron Art Gallery on South Lake Union in Seattle.</p>
<p>Lorraine Howell started Media Skills Training, Inc. in 1998 after 12 years as a television news and talk show producer in the San Francisco Bay Area. She coaches professionals on how to be more effective when speaking to the media or making public presentations. In October 2009 she will return to New York City for the third year to coach the five finalists in the Forbes.com national Boost Your Business Contest.<br />
Her book Give Your Elevator Speech a Lift! is a step-by-step guide through her proven process for creating a winning elevator speech. Lorraine&#8217;s method helps eliminate the verbal clutter when answering the question &#8220;What do you do?&#8221;
